Bud Break in Dry Creek Valley!
The first sighting of growth appeared in Sonoma County this week with Bud Break in our Zinfandel Vineyards. Bud Break is the first stage of the annual grape vine lifecyle. The vines just finished their rest period for the winter. During the winter, the vines are dormant until the weather improves. Bud break typically occurs March or April and brings much excitment as this means Spring is coming. See this first stage of growth in the La Promessa vineyard.
